Glastonbury in Somerset

To find Glastonbury is to find the mystical Isle of Avalon, the resting place of the legendary King Arthur and home of the Holy Grail, the site of the earliest Christian church in England supposedly built by Joseph of Arimathea who legend has it was related to Mary mother of Jesus, and nowadays site of the famous annual Glastonbury Music Festival held each year in June. Glastonbury is a small market town 6 miles south of Wells and from here one can visit Bride’s Mound, Glastonbury Abbey, Chalice Hill, Glastonbury Tor, Glastonbury Thorn and of course shop in the wondrous stores selling incense, candles, crystals, books etc. The place is steeped in myth mystery and history.
