Braemar in Royal Deeside

BRAEMAR heart of Royal Deeside, surrounded by Grampian mountains and woodland scenery ideal for the walkers and climbers. Braemar is an ancient village, probably best known for the Braemar Gathering and Highland Games which is held every September, people come from all over the world to this event. The River Dee famous for its salmon fishing runs past Braemar Castle and Balmoral Castle,which is, ofcourse the holiday home to the Royal Family. On the southern edge of the village is the highest eighteen hole golf course in Britain and eight miles to the south is Glenshee, a famous ski-ing resort frequented by skiers all over the world.
