Ardglass in Down

ARDGLASS is one of three main fishing ports in Northern Ireland exporting most of the fish caught through Europe. A pretty harbour which has seen various improvements over the year, sea angling and other water based sports are available during the year. Ardglass has more medieval tower houses than any other town in Northern Ireland. Struell wells which is situated in a rocky valley between Downpatrick and Saul, had been the resort of pilgrims who came to these wells in search of cures which they thought the waters could provide. There are various craft centres in Ardglass, pottery and furniture being the primary wares.
