Bushmills in Antrim

BUSHMILLS is a small town inland which is situated between The Giant’s Causeway and Portbalintrae. The very FIRST licence to distill whisky in the world was granted here in 1608, Bushmills, a famous Irish single malt whiskey ( note the spelling, Scotland its’ whisky whilst in Ireland, and USA it has an “e”…) Probably one of the most famous sightseeing areas, The Giant’s Causeway, is a geological phenomenon, caused by volcanic eruptions and cooling lava, it has around 40,000 balsalt columns packed firmly together, the tallest being about 40 feet high.
