Leighton House Museum and Art Gallery

Leighton House was the first of the magnificent Studio Houses to have been built in the Holland Park area and today is open to the public as a museum of High Victorian Art. The home of the great classical painter and President of the Royal Academy, Frederic Lord Leighton, was designed by George Aitchison. The Arab Hall, is the centrepiece of Leighton House with dazzling gilt mosaics and authentic Islamic tiles. Temporary exhibitions are held throughout the year.
