Soho

Soho waas once the seedy red-light district of London, full of sex shops and seedy bookstores and cinemas. While you can still find these types of establishments it has become much smarter and is now a very fashionable place to live. Its name comes from the hunting cry So-Ho! as this area was once the hunting grounds of Kings and Lords, somewhat hard to imagine now. There is a delightful garden, Soho Square in the midst of this area with sculptures and historical information about the area and well worth visiting if you want to escape the hustle and bustle for a while.
