Wyndhams Theatre

Designed in 1899 by W G R Sprague for Sir Charles Wyndham, this delightful Victorian theatre has hosted a wide repertoire, from crime dramas which ran for six years, to the popular musical The Boyfriend which brought Julie Andrews to prominence in the 1950's. The religious rock musical Godspell starring David Essex enjoyed a run of four years in the 1970's. In recent years a number of fine actresses have appeared here including Vanessa Redgrave, Diana Rigg and Faye Dunaway.
