Lambeth Palace

Lambeth Palace is not normally open to the public but as part of the celebrations for millennium year, it is open until 4 November 2000. Lambeth Palace has been the London home of the Archbishops of Canterbury since 1197. Your admission ticket will include a guided tour of the historic rooms of the Palace including the crypt, Guard Room, Chapel and Great Hall (part of the Library). On display in the Great Hall is an exhibition illustrating the wealth and variety of the Library's collections. Manuscripts, archives, printed books and objects connected with Archbishops mentioned elsewhere on the tour are on display.
